There are preachers out there who preach anti-science, know nothing nonsense. Esp. in the USA, there are a lot of Christian fundamentalists who spread their dark age morality, patriarchy, and oppression all over, and do it UNCHALLENGED.
This song is about those truly anti-social criminals, and about confronting them when we see them.
If you see them, say something. Don't allow them to walk by and get away with it. They have an impact on people's thinking and actions. Get in their face. Tell them to read a science book. Tell them we don't want their traditional morality, we want one that is about breaking the chains they have been justifying for so long.
Tell them to go with their god, and leave this world to us.
(P.S. even though he was fucking religious, Malcolm was a GOOD example of a person who used a very rigorous scientific method and changed a lot, he was not dogmatic, and put his religion aside a great deal. To him if you "god" was not helping you get free it wasn't worth shit.)
