in the distance in the distance is a boat in flames sea’s burning while land sinks in the children cry out their last tears their screaming echoes into empty ears a mother on fire, trapped in Scylla’s bated jaws abandoned others lost in Charybdis these dreams they seem so real how did we end up here? in the scattered remnants treading water pledging to persist here in those eyes paradise in the darkness pine little light painful yearning of those flames that don’t feel right the guilty breathing throbs and pounds a haunting sacrifice in every living sound while Agamemnon’s war was just one part our weak condition gods and kings conspire these dreams they seem so real how did we end up here? in the scattered remnants treading water pledging to persist here in those eyes paradise in the rubble of the failed factory we built a boat to sail upon the sea thirsty for dreams engulfed in flames praying for sirens, but scared to be detained strangled by borders, and choking in the mist displaced reason, forgotten in waves of myths we fought their wars for a home but all this time, wrong enemy’s opposed these dreams they seem so real how did we end up here?

Catch 2222 01:34
Catch 2222 you signed up to murder foreigners to see their world and stomp it down to protect the shithole you’re running from that’s insane insane you follow orders dropping bombs kill innocents for freedom and say it is just a job that’s fucking insane insane everyone is so fucking desperate crazy enough to kill for benefits we got no money we can’t find a job no fucking clue what we’re supposed to be proud of made ignorant, given a gun, and driven insane INSANE anyone who’d join their military is far too insane to ever be given any sort of gun
3.
The Lotus Eaters we’ve seen too much surrender, battle lethargy now the war’s come home, inside our real enemy buried under all these scars, our weak hearts barely beat our bones grind on, while minds they drift empty fires raise our sights, the empire breathes a sigh rejoice in smoke and drink until you die they say, freedom from suffering is just a lotus away just give up your ambition and rage, and embrace the master’s apathy while the wealthy talk of islands lost in a sea of pain a place the weak can hide in lotuses their tales worse than chains, holding still these slaves while lotuses whisper don’t resist they say, freedom from suffering is just a lotus away just give up your ambition and rage, and embrace the master’s apathy BURN DOWN THIS EMPIRE BURN THIS FUCKING EMPIRE TO THE GROUND our agony like monuments like tombstones over graves remembrances for crimes we are guilty either tear out all your vacant eyes, or solder shut your mouths or burn this fucking empire to the ground BURN DOWN THIS EMPIRE BURN THIS FUCKING EMPIRE TO THE GROUND that void, that “shame”, that lotus - not cure. our treatment: to empower and BURN THIS EMPIRE

Catharsis & Regret these bridges burn these fires we set light our way forward past all our regrets the ashes cry apologies since there’s no justice let there be no peace last night we castrated a rapist and tattooed across his face we put all the excuses that he yelled at us in pain then we broke all of the hands of all racists we could find then took our time sewing shut their eyes well, maybe we’re short sighted maybe we’re fucking wrong maybe we should all just sing along with the sound of blue blood spilled out at the gate silence of their last breath of hate the right wing broken bones the concrete in their skulls fire choking flags soaked in gasoline water boarded billionaires bleach soaked to the brim drowning white supremacists after we skin all them landlords buried up to their necks in piles of shit antfarms made of assholes all living all rent free i heard you all snickering, that i don’t fucking care ‘cause i wanna burn their houses down while their backward asses there but those petty men’s rights advocates hawking all their lies would smell a whole lot better with their body sprays on fire

Special thanks to all our loving partners for their endless support & patience.

This album would not have been possible without the commitment & hard work of many close friends including: Agent Jay, Al Ghostcat, Angela Grahm, Caro, Christine Kim, DńD & LöC, Gina, Greg Daly, Gwyn Pétroleuse, Jayne Henson, Karsten Schwarzmayr, Luca, Rob Connolly, & Subhumans.

This record is dedicated to all those people displaced by the atrocious daily functions of capitalism & the conflicts it instigates & off of which it thrives. Those brave souls are at best forgotten about as refugees & migrants & at worse demonized, scapegoated, & used as reasons to build more walls to divide us all. Those courageous people leave the only reality they have ever known, they leave the people & places they hold at the center of their hearts to find some semblance of peace & stability, some place that has not been ravaged by capitalists & their lackey warmongers.

We wrote these songs trying to keep their memories in our hearts, & their struggles in our heads. We beg you to stop thinking of the people who cross borders as criminals, & start thinking of them as leaders. Either all are given that peace & stability or none can have it. We hope we live our lives & play our songs in a way that does some justice to those human beings lost between the lines. We hope others are as inspired as we are by the rebels who risk everything for a better future & dream of a better world. Thank you.
